Chris Walk

Chris Walk Against Substance Abuse was established in the summer of 2007 after the death of Christopher Foley from a heroin overdose.

Chris’ family decided to hold a walk and awareness rally and also raise funds for local substance abuse prevention programs.

Now in our tenth year, Chris Walk is a 501c3 non-profit organization that seeks to do more.

Heroin, Meth, Cocaine, Synthetic drugs, prescription drug abuse, and Alcohol abuse are ripping apart our families.

We have experienced it firsthand and want you to know that you are not alone in your struggles.

Our mission

To advocate and be a support for those addicted as well as their families who are experiencing substance abuse issues.

Chris's Walk

Our main event is the  “Chris Walk Night Out Against Substance Abuse” which is held annually in July.

Raising Awareness

We are dedicated to raising substance abuse awareness by sharing our story through public speaking, education, media contact, and any other means available.

Fundraising

We aim to raise funds for local substance abuse prevention programs, resources, events, and activities.

Key Culture Tip: Great Minds Don’t Always Think Alike

I was having lunch with a friend recently, and she commented on the diversity of people who have been on Nonprofit Hub’s staff over the years. She then inquired about how we maintain such a strong cultural identity with such different, frequently changing staff...
